Gonad-A-Guard Shields

The Gonad-A-Guard Shields are mounted directly on the patient, to allow much more accurate positioning than can be achieved with a Light Beam Diaphragm mounted gonad filter.  A Velcro belt (provided with the shields) is used to affix the shield, allowing maximum positioning versatility.  Even when incorrectly positioned, these filters provide significant radiation reduction.  The filtering agents are composed of some or all of the following: Copper, Lead, Aluminium and coating materials.

Key Benefits

The female shield allows adequate visualization of the pelvic girdle, and significantly reduces radiation levels to the reproductive systems.
The male shield doesn't encroach on the ischia, an area of frequent metastasis,  and does not block the Pubic Symphisis. 
Many patients are concerned with genetic mutation.  These filters help to lower the risks of these occurrences.
